Hey! Do you know if they make any plugins to help with Search Engine Optimization? I'm trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I'm not seeing very good gains. If you know of any please share. Many thanks! egfcdfbabekagead

We need to make it very easy for members to post comments on this blog. So I clicked on "comments" associated with your post just to see if it is still working okay.

While not a resident, my family have vacationed in Montauk almost every year. Close to 30 years now, my parents took me as a child, and now I bring my children.
Was very sad to see what?s been happening to a place we love so much. That had stayed unchanged for most of my life. popdada

Montauk has always been a great place to raise a family and even have a good time.

We have owned a home here for almost 40 years and certainly attended many parties either at private homes or local restaurants and pubs. I think a big part of the problem today is those that are doing the partying have no ties to the community and show contempt and disrespect for residents of Montauk. They don?t give a damn about who they disturb or inconvenience.

I would like to join and participate in restoring our village to the very special place it always has been . Maybe it might be time to incorporate if we do not get the support and services we need from East Hampton Town. I sure don? t see this lawlessness and mayhem occurring in the Village of East Hampton . Perhaps we should keep our our tax dollars right here in Montauk to help control the problems the ?Town? has chosen to ignore for too long !! Joseph J. DiLiberto

Start with the greedy homeowners who rent their houses out as share houses and have no consideration for their neighbors or the community.

You haven't fully defined who you wish to join your effort. My family and I have owned a co-op apartment for over 20 years and have witnessed the changes in Montauk during that time, and share the concerns expressed by most of those who have spoken to the issues so far. However, sometimes co-op and condo owners ? and, I suspect, other permanent summer residents ? are not fully welcomed by the year round community.

So? my question is whether we would be welcome to join this effort? Phil Mickulas

Although I am not a montauk resident, I strongly support Tom?s efforts to ?clean up the town? and hopefully restore it to what I remember it was like some years ago. His success will spur the rest of us on LI to take similar action in our own local communities when required. mmoonitz
